Registration for the inaugural Coolidge National Medal of Honor Heritage Center Summer Camp closes Saturday, May 17
Families are encouraged to register now for a history-focused summer camp experience launching this June at the Coolidge National Medal of Honor Heritage Center. Designed specifically for rising fifth grade students, the inaugural June 2025 Summer Camp offers an engaging, week-long exploration of U.S. military and space history through the lens of Medal of Honor and Space Medal of Honor recipients. Registration closes Saturday, May 17.

"Students will participate in a full-day, week-long program filled with hands-on activities, artifact-based investigations, gallery explorations and field excursions, bringing pivotal moments in American history to life in a way that is both educational and inspiring," officials said.

Two one-week sessions are available:
• June 9–13; or
• June 16–20.

Each day of the camp is dedicated to a different era or theme:
• Monday: Introduction to the Medal of Honor & the Civil War;
• Tuesday: Civil War Field Excursion;
• Wednesday: World War I;
• Thursday: World War II; and
• Friday: Space Medal of Honor Field Excursion.

"This immersive experience is ideal for students who are naturally curious, enjoy stories and hands-on learning and are eager to explore history beyond the classroom," officials said.

“This camp is designed to connect young learners with real stories of courage, character and service,” said Miranda Wilkinson, director of Education and Public Programming at the Coolidge National Medal of Honor Heritage Center.
“Through a mix of exploration, education and discovery, we hope to inspire the next generation of critical thinkers and engaged citizens.”
