Dalton, Ga., Bible That Drips Oil And Brings Cures Going On The Road

  • Friday, December 21, 2018

An Atlanta area woman in a car wreck recently was badly bruised with two black eyes. Those who saw her said she looked terrible. Someone drove her to a gift shop in Dalton, Ga., where, in a back room, she received prayer and a mysterious ever-flowing oil. Friends who saw her afterward said, "She is completely healed."

That story has been repeated over and over by those who have heard of a Bible that became soaked with a colorless, odorless oil and continues to flow.

The requests to be able to obtain some of the biblical oil have become so overwhelming that the Dalton ministry says it is no longer able to send it out to all who request.

But the oil-soaked Bible is being taken on the road for a West Coast tour after one last local service at the Cleveland, Tn., Family Worship Center on Dec. 30 from 6-8 p.m.

The western swing includes Costa Mesa, Calif., starting Jan. 9, then Mesa, Ariz.

It was Jan. 27, 2017, following a small prayer meeting in the back of the gift shop when a prayer warrior named Jerry noticed that his Bible was dripping with oil. It started at Psalm 39 and began to spread until it covered the whole Bible.

The ministry says, "Friday morning, January 27th, Jerry’s granddaughter and great-granddaughter came to visit. When they left Jerry picked up his Bible to read. He had been reading in Psalms all week. His Bible fell open to Psalm 39 and and he noticed a wet spot on the page that had soaked through to Psalm 63. He asked Joyce if the great-granddaughter had spilled something on his Bible. Joyce told him the baby had not had anything to drink. Later that afternoon Jerry and Joyce took the Bible over to Johnny and Leslie’s home. They all agreed it was oil."

Jerry first put the oil in a Ziploc bag, then in a bucket. He said God told him that as long as he gave the mysterious oil away it would continue to flow.

The prayer group began to invite others to dip their hands in the oil, and they gave vials of it away.

As word of the phenomenon spread, sufferers with various ills and from near and far began to seek out the backroom prayer meetings on W. Gordon Street.

A chemist was invited to examine the oil. He said it was akin to mineral oil. He concluded, "It is not manufactured and it has other elements not contained in mineral oil. The bottom line is that it is unexplainable."

The ministry has issued this statement, "Brothers and Sisters in Christ... The volume of the oil (2-6 gallons per week) does not match the global demand that we have received by mail, phone calls, and internet requests. After much prayer and waiting on the Lord, we feel the Lord leading us to focus distribution of the oil to events where we can pray for people as well as give them oil. We continually give every bit of oil that God supplies away.

"We understand that many submitted requests in August and haven't received it, and our intention was to send it. It is not a factor of cost, but of supply of the oil, which is truly up to the Lord. If you have been waiting on a request, we are so sorry that we no longer will be able to send it. If you are just requesting it, we are sorry that we cannot send it, but please watch our events page, and if you can get to one of our events, we will gladly give you some oil.

"We do know that God is a miracle working God and is healing and restoring people all over the world without the oil. He is the One who heals, and the oil is there to strengthen our faith in Him and His love for His children. We pray God will pour out His grace on your life today."
