Hester Says He Will Support Beck Rather Than Make County Commission Race

  • Wednesday, February 14, 2018

Isiah Hester said Wednesday he has decided to support District 5 County Commissioner Greg Beck rather than run in the upcoming election.

Mr. Hester said, "Thanks to all who were committed, dedicated, and encouraging to my campaign; as I had anticipated running this current election cycle. After prayerful thought, I have decided to channel all of my support to make certain the experience and knowledge of the incumbent commissioner, Greg Beck, continue to provide quality service to our district.

"I will be working with him during the next few years to ascertain his shared political wisdom. I strongly believe that I will be better prepared to serve the constituents in the governmental process with his guidance. I ask each of you to provide him the support needed to allow him to continue with current district process.

"We, as a community, and are now afforded the opportunity to unite and become an aligned team in furthering our accomplished project successes. We should be obligated and willing to work together for the common good. I pledge my total support and confidence in our commissioner, Greg Beck.

"My decision to withdraw from the Hamilton County Commission race is due to my vision that it is time we emerge effectively in unison. I gravely understand that I will be more abreast to lead in the future as I work with him in the present."
