Potter Found Slumped In Stolen Pickup On Hixson Street

A county deputy said he found a man slumped over behind the wheel of a stolen pickup truck that was blocking a Hixson Street.

Johnathan Potter, 31, of 8919 Nelson Road, was charged with third-offense DUI and theft of property over $2,500.

In the incident on Saturday, Potter was located passed out on Cave Drive. The key was in the ignition.

The deputy said Potter was non-responsive and he had to help him from the Chevy S-10. His speech was slurred and he was unsteady on his vehicle.

Inside the vehicle was a bottle of McCormick vodka that was two thirds empty as well as an empty Aristocrat bottle.

It was found there were warrants against Potter for burglary in Red bank.

The owner of the S-10 was called and the truck was returned to him.
