Graduation Set For 16 Firefighters Who Completed Training

Graduation ceremonies for firefighters who have completed 360 hours of the Firefighter I course will be Thursday at 7 p.m. at Chester Frost Park Pavilion.

It was sponsored by the Hamilton County Office of Emergency Management Training Division.

Sixteen fire cadets from Firefighter I class representing several agencies, including Walden’s Ridge Emergency Services, Mowbray Volunteer Fire Department, Sequoyah Volunteer Fire Department, Soddy Daisy Fire Department, Dallas Bay Volunteer Fire Department, Athens Rural Fire Department, East Ridge Fire Department and Highway 58 Volunteer Fire Department, will receive their certificates.

Mr. and Mrs. Jim Daughettee will present the Shane Daughettee Award to a firefighter graduate selected by their class instructors. Since Firefighter Shane Daughettee’s death, this award is given to a fire graduate who demonstrates great leadership, attitude and dedication throughout the duration of Firefighter I class.
