Medicare For All "Barnstorm" Event Feb. 9 At Chattanooga Library

  • Friday, January 25, 2019
Local supporters of Medicare for All (HR Bill 676) will meet on Sat., Feb. 9 at 2 p.m. in the auditorium of the downtown Chattanooga Public Library. The event is open to the public.

According to organizer Pat Combs, the intent is to mobilize local support for the legislation which would offer health care coverage to all citizens.

“With a new and improved version of this bill about to be proposed in the House, we have a real chance to radically transform our health care system to one that recognizes health care as a human right,” Ms.
Combs said.

The Chattanooga Barnstorm is part of a national Medicare for All Week of Action planned for Feb. 9-13. Similar events will be held across the country and are supported by a coalition of organizations including National Nurses United, Our Revolution and Democratic Socialists of America.

More information about the bill can be found at medicare4all.org/about/.
