David Morrow
David Haskel ‘Hack’ Morrow, 88, a resident of Cleveland, passed away on Tuesday, January 1, 2019, at his home.
Hack was a well-known Cleveland plumber and was a longtime member of Waterville Baptist Church where he served as a deacon for many years.
He was the son of the late Jesse James and Muncy Lee Morrow. He was also preceded in death by 9 brothers and sisters.
He is survived by his loving wife of 69 years, Betty J. Morrow; his children, Sherry Casteel, Pam (Bobby) DeLay, David Morrow, and Tyler (Suzy) Morrow. He is also survived by his grandchildren: Twana Cochran, April Smith, Hollye Proffitt, Rob DeLay, Andy Morrow, Courtney DeLay, Colten Morrow, Sklyer Morrow along with seven great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. Also surviving are his siblings, John Morrow, Hazel Hughes, Joyce Dantzler, Jean McDonald, and Betty Morrow.
A celebration of his life is planned for Friday, Jan. 4, at 11 a.m. at Waterville Baptist Church with Pastor Coby Goins and Joe Brooks officiating. The interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens with Alan Colloms, Dean Earby, Gregg Ervin, Lamar Ervin, Ernest Jackson, and Dewayne Morrow serving as pallbearers. The deacons of Waterville Baptist Church will serve as honorary pallbearers.
The family will receive friends at Waterville Baptist Church on Thursday, Jan. 3, from 4-7 p.m. and on Friday from 10 a.m. until the service at 11 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Waterville Baptist Church Building Fund.
