Olivet Baptist Church Announces Events For National Breast Cancer Awareness Month In October

October is National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, the upcoming events are in observance of this health month held at Olivet Baptist Church, 740 M L King Blvd.

Friday, Oct. 18 - the Memorial Mammogram Coach will be on site performing screening mammograms.  Call 423-495-4040 for an appointment.  No insurance, no problem - just provide a physician’s name so that provider can receive the results.

Saturday, Oct. 19 - A Breast Cancer Awareness Gospel Concert to take place at Olivet Baptist Church.  Doors open 4 p.m., with concert at 5 p.m. The Health/ Wellness Ministries of Greater Emmanuel Apostolic, New United and Olivet Baptist Churches are hosting the event. Minister Donna McLin as mistress of ceremony.  The following will participate: C. Dwayne Slocum and the Voices, Greater Emmanuel Apostolic Praise Team, Hawkinsville Male Chorus, Jarvis Menifee and Chozen, New United Mass Choir, Remanent, Ronisha McLin and Olivet Mass Choir.  Walgreen’s “Feel More Like You“ Cancer support program and Tennessee Breast & Cervical Cancer Screening Program will be on site at this event. This is a free event.

Sunday, Oct. 20 - Pink Sunday- Worship in Pink observed.
