Vanessa Buckner
Vanessa Ann Buckner, 52, of Chattanooga, passed away on Thursday, November 7, 2019, in a local hospital.
She was a 1985 graduate of Howard High School. She was a member of New Horizon Baptist Church. Vanessa enjoyed cooking and was well known for feeding any and everybody.
She was preceded in death by her son, Quincy Bell; daughter, Wayne Shayla Buckner; brother, Raymond Sterkey; grandparents, Charlie and Dimples Smartt, Sr., Cleveland and Florine Bell, Sr.; uncles, Charles Smartt and Maurice Smith; aunts, Patricia Williams, Ernestine Turner, Rosa Smith, Virginia Johnson, and Sandra Bell Rice; stepmother, Renna Bell; cousin, Ricardo Turner, Sr.

Vanessa will lie in state on Friday, Nov. 15, at 9 a.m. at Taylor Funeral Home.
Funeral services will follow at noon in the chapel with Pastor Willie Paul as the eulogist. Burial will be in Chattanooga National Cemetery.
