Summer Melody Horne, age 17, of LaFayette passed away Monday, November 18, 2019.

She attended Ridgeland High School and enjoyed spending time with her family. Summer was an avid Georgia Bulldogs fan and loved wearing pretty bows in her hair. She thought the world of her nurses Justin Glaze and Amy Woods and her homebound teacher Charity Burnette.

She was preceded in death by her uncle, Jerry Powell.

She is survived by her mother, Clara Lynn Wooten; sisters, Carolyn Sadie Lee Wooten (Alejandro Rosario) of LaFayette and Elizabeth Nora Lynn Horne; aunts, Stella Powell and Shirley (Jackie) Moses of Lookout Mountain and Ann Busby of LaFayette. 

Graveside service will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 22, at the LaFayette City Cemetery with Chaplain Walter Rosario officiating.

Visitation will be held prior to the service from 12-2 p.m. at the funeral home.

Arrangements are by Wallis-Wilbanks Funeral Home, LaFayette.
