1 Person Suffers Smoke Inhalation In Duplex Fire Monday Afternoon

A person suffered smoke inhalation in a duplex fire Monday afternoon.

Around 3:30 p.m. the Chattanooga Fire Department was dispatched to a duplex fire at 6210 Walden Ave.

The Chattanooga Battalion Chief arrived on the scene and stated that smoke was showing from the "B" side of the duplex. The first fire engine on the scene made an aggressive interior attack on the fire, containing it to the kitchen. The other side of the duplex had no damage.

One person was transported to the hospital for smoke inhalation, by Hamilton County Emergency Medical Services.

Chattanooga Police Department, Electric Power Board, and Hamilton County Emergency Medical Services were also on scene to assist.
