Enjoyed Cooking, Collecting Dolls, And Crafts

Carol Cate, 78, of Hixson, Tennessee, passed away on Saturday, August 17, 2019. 

 

Carol enjoyed cooking, collecting dolls, and sharing with others the craft angels she made. 

 

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ralph and Sally Kibble; son, Melvin Spencer Cate Jr.; sisters, Edna Brumley, Zella Boren; and brother, Donald Kibble. 

 

She is survived by her loving husband, Melvin Cate Sr.; daughter, Donna Sue (Paul) Lee; son, John Wesley (Abby) Cate; sister, Flora McGowan; brother, Newell Kibble; grandchildren, Carrie (Todd) Baker, Stevie Yates; step grandchildren, John Lee, Amber Bargo, Brytni Lavender; and great-grandchildren, Jordan, Emmy, Hunter, and Abbi. 

 

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Fellowship of Christian Peace Officers – USA at www.fcpo.org.

 

A memorial service will be held at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 22, in the funeral home chapel with Richard Mason officiating.
