The Chattanooga Stake of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints will hold a Self-Reliance devotional Saturday from 10 a.m.12 p.m. at 3067 Ooltewah Ringgold Road. All are welcome to attend.
The devotional will address the following questions:
Want to improve your finances the Lord’s way?
Do you own a business or thinking of starting one?
Is your education holding you back from getting the job you want?
Looking for a better job?
Learn how to transform your finances both spiritually and temporally. Learn about marketing, suppliers, and cash flow. Find out how to better your education and learn techniques for success. Learn about resumes and interview skills that will help you successfully land a job.
According to officials, “Self-reliance does not mean that we can accomplish or obtain anything we want. If we are self-reliant we believe that through the power of Christ, and through our own effort, we can work for the spiritual and practical needs of life…. You can have a better life, and God will help you” (see https://www.churchofjesuschrist.org/self-reliance).
Saturday’s devotional will also provide attendees with further information about how to join a self-reliance group. “Self-reliance groups offer practical courses with spiritual benefits,” the Church states. All courses are free, and manuals and videos may also be downloaded without cost at https://www.churchofjesuschrist.org/self-reliance/manuals-and-videos?lang=eng.
