Paul Richard Stanley, age 66, of Dalton, passed away Thursday, September 12, 2019 at Hamilton Medical Center.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Dalpha Mae Stanley, and father, John Frank Stanley.

He was an avid fly fisherman and proudly served our country in the U.S. Army. He was retired from Shaw Industries after 45 years.

He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Misty and Kelly Young of Chatsworth; one sister, Teresa Diane Silvers of Kentucky; two brothers, Ed and Deb Stanley of Chatsworth and Rocky Stanley of Florida; one grandchild, Kole Young; and aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

The funeral services will be Sunday, Sept. 15, at 2 p.m. at the Pleasant Grove Chapel of Julian Peeples Funeral Home with Rev. Ronald Guffey officiating.

Burial will be in Whitfield Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday, Sept. 14, from 5-8 p.m.
