Aldea Valera Bustamante
Aldea Valera Bustamante, 95, of Ooltewah, passed away on Wednesday, September 4, 2019.
She was born May 11, 1924 in Bangueda, Abra Philippines to the late Laureano and Josefa Mendez Valera.
Mrs. Bustamante was a retired school teacher in the Philippines and a former resident of Daly City, Ca. and Decatur, Al.
She was a parishioner at OLPH Catholic Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Donato Bustamante; daughter, Estrellita Valera Tuazon; and brothers, Demetrio, Francisco, Ruben, and Eustaquio Valera.
Survivors include her daughter, Heidi (Cesar O.) Pascua; son, Rodel V. Bustamante; grandchildren, Oliver (Emily) Pascua, Janine P. (Andrew) Howard, Laura A. (Bryant) Henton, Ardeine (Nessa) Bustamante, and Samantha Bustamante; great-grandchildren, Alex and Cal Pascua, Olivia and Jax Howard, Cam and Ava Henton, A. R. Bustamante, and Liam and Logan; other grandchildren, great-grandchildren from the Philippines; sister, Soledad V. Balbuena from the Philippines; nieces and nephews from the Philippines, California and all over the world.
The family will receive friends Sunday, Sept. 8, from 2-4 p.m. at the East Brainerd Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held Monday, Sept. 9, at 11 a.m. at OLPH Catholic Church with Father Jim Vick officiating.
Interment will follow at Hamilton Memorial Gardens.
