Sterner, Rhonda Pettyjohn (Summerville)

Rhonda Pettyjohn Sterner, age 57, of Greeson Street, Summerville, Georgia, passed away early Saturday morning, November 21, 2020, at her residence.

Born in Rome, Ga. on March 7, 1963, she was a daughter of the late Thomas S. and Louise Greene Pettyjohn. Mrs. Sterner was a member of Antioch Baptist Church and was employed with Southeast Pathology, in Rome.

Surviving are her husband, John Sterner; daughter, Alanna J. Sterner; son, Mason D. Sterner; aunt, Linda Greene; special cousins, Cecila and Craig Holt and Susan Brooks; and special friends, Ken and Carol Fries and Ann McCollum.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, Nov. 22, at 3 p.m. from Antioch Baptist Church with Pastors Brian Butler, Jimmy Bryant, and Miles Phillips officiating, interment in West Hill Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Alan Smith, Rusty Wilson, Tommy Wilson, Eddie Wilson, Randy Wilson, and Bobby Purcell; honorary pallbearers will be Associates of Southeastern Pathology.

The family will receive friends Sunday, Nov. 22, from 1-3 p.m. at Antioch Baptist Church, Big Texas Valley Road, Rome, Ga.

The family request no flowers and suggest contributions to Antioch Baptist Church or Cancer Navigators of Rome.
