Local Nonprofit Provides Toys And Aid To Area Military Families For Christmas

  • Wednesday, December 23, 2020
Friends Of The Troops, a Chattanooga-based nonprofit that supports deployed troops, veterans and military families, recently donated thousands of pounds of toys, food, hygiene and household items to dozens of military families in Tennessee, just in time for the Holidays.

A large military vehicle was filled with toys and items donated by individuals and from corporate donors, including Amazon, GameStop in Hixson and West Pharmaceutical Services in Jersey Shore, Pa. The toys, food and household items were distributed among Army Reserve and Air Force Reserve families in need in the state.
Priority was given to military families currently quarantined with COVID or those struggling as a result of the pandemic.

Friends Of The Troops is always looking for corporate partners interesting in helping to support the military community and for volunteers who would like to send cards or sponsor a deployed service member during an overseas deployment.
