Young Life To Build New Venue On MLK Boulevard

Monday, February 10, 2020

Young Life plans to build a new two-story venue near the UTC campus.

It will be located at 757 E. MLK Blvd. across from Olivet Baptist Church.

David Haskins, metro director for Young Life, said, "This is the first venue that Young Life is building across the country. It will be an old time soda fountain meets modern day coffee shop on the first floor with offices and gatherings areas on the second. Don’t think of this as simply an office but a place that where streams of life, laughter, and goodness will flow.

"Young Life in Chattanooga is part of a global tapestry covering kids around the world."

Young Life, a Christian ministry founded in 1941, is now in over 100 countries.

A groundbreaking will be held on Wednesday at noon.

Roy Exum: The Super’s 25% Sham

I was talking to some fellas the other day – and these are pretty smart country boys – and posed this question: if a man was getting paid a base salary of $197,000, and then had a chance to jump to $240,000, what would be the percentage of ol’ Slick’s increase? One pulled out his cell phone and punched it, erased it, and punched some more. “Well, this thing says that if you had ... (click for more)
