Trustee Bill Hullander is urging area residents to join in a statewide prayer movement.
He said, "I will be praying myself each evening at 8 p.m. Central Time (9 our time) and invite others to join me."
During WWII Winston Churchill had an advisor who organized a group of people to drop what they were doing every day at a prescribed hour to pray for one minute. They prayed for the safety of England, its people, and peace.
Now in America, a group of people are doing the same thing. Each evening at 8 p.m. Central Time, people are asked to stop what they're doing and spend one minute praying for the safety of the United States, our troops and citizens.
