Lifelong Chattanoogan Was Employed With Card Monroe

Glenn “Ray” Lankford, Jr., 62, of Hixson, died Tuesday, March 24, 2020 in a local hospital.

 

A lifelong resident of Chattanooga, Ray was formerly employed with Card Monroe and also Bayside Baptist Church for several years.

 

Ray was a member of Abba’s House and also held membership with the DeKalb County Genealogical Society.  

 

He was preceded in death by his father, Glenn Ray Lankford, Sr., and his brother, Dewayne Lankford.

 

Survivors are his mother, Jeanette Lankford;  sister, Janice Lankford both of Hixson;  brother, Gary Lankford, Chattanooga;  nephews, Tyler Lankford, Seth Lankford, Micah Lankford, Nethaneel Lankford, and Joseph Lankford; niece, Katie Nunley; great-niece, Jasmine and great-nephew, Joshua;  several aunts, uncles and cousins.

 

Due to the current health crisis, the family will have a small family service at 10:30 a.m. Friday, March 27, in the funeral home chapel.  Burial will be at Lakewood Memory Gardens, South.
