Cleo Porter, 80 of Flintstone, Georgia, passed away on April 20, 2020.

Cleo was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He was a graduate of City High School Class of 1957. Cleo was a member of First Calvary Baptist Church. He served as President of the Lions Club. Cleo retired from Institutional Jobbers after 30 years of service.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John Wesley Porter and Hester Woody Porter, and three brothers, Howard; Marvin; and J.W. Porter.

Left behind to cherish Cleo’s Life are his loving wife of 59 years, Clara Joe, children, Richard Porter, Bruce (Sheila) Porter, and Denise (Steve) Collins, grandchildren, Mackenzie Porter, Brandon Baxter, Logan Porter, and Ashley Moore, a great-grandson, Liam Moore, sister, Doris (Don) Mahaffey.

Due to COVID-19 restrictions, there will be no visitation and the family will have a private service which will be in the Hamilton Memorial Gardens.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made in Cleo’s memory to either First Calvary Baptist Church, 300 West Bell Ave., Chattanooga, Tn. 37405 or to Room at the Inn, 230 N. Highland Park Ave, Chattanooga, Tn. 37404.

Arrangements are under the care of Chattanooga Funeral Home Crematory and Florist East Chapel, 404 South Moore Road, East Ridge, Tn. 37412.
