I read where Abbott Laboratories' has developed a conoravirus test called Abbott I'D NOW COVID-19 Detection Test System that will give a positive result in about five minutes and a negative result in about 13 minutes. While we in Chattanooga, according to the article, will not benefit for another month from the such testing, why not have airports and the airlines invest in the test and have it at the airports.
The federal government can pass a law that requires every passenger, employee etc. to go through testing protocol before TSA checkpoint and the airlines can start flying again. Yes, it would be added expense, but it would help alleviate people's fears associated with flying in the future.
We have to be checked already by TSA so this would be another step to pass through to fly; but, it would seem, a necessary step to ensure people's health. It would also open a new business opportunity to the companies which can contract for the testing at the airports creating a new industry.
