Yvonne Williams
Yvonne S. Williams, 81, of Chattanooga, passed away on Tuesday, May 19, 2020, at her residence.
She attended Howard High School and was a faithful member of Olivet Baptist Church. Yvonne retired from Longhorn Restaurant, where she was employed for over 54 years. She was loved and admired by everyone for her loving and kind ways, soulful cooking and her warm smile.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Mattie Stallion; daughter, Vicky Williams; sisters, Vera Whatley and Nettie Cordila; brothers, Willie C. Stallion and Elmer Stallion.
Survivors include her husband of 56 years, Leon Williams; loving and devoted daughter, Alesia Williams Reid of Chattanooga; sons, Marcus Addison of Woodbridge, NJ and Leonard Williams of Chattanooga; loving grandsons, Gregory Smith, Jr., Michael Lewis, Jr., and I-Key Lewis, Sr., all of Chattanooga; great-grandchildren, Chance Henderson, Kahgee Smith, I-Key Lewis, Jr., Michael Lewis, III, Mahari Robinson, and Kamari Robinson; great-great-grandchild, Nila Henderson, all of Chattanooga; sisters, Thelma Ballanger of Flintstone, GA, Betty (Melvin) Montgomery, Lorene (Marvin) Talley, both of Indianapolis, IN, and Willie Bell Stone of Altadena, CA; sisters-in-law, Bernice Freeman and Mary Covington, both of Chattanooga; brothers-in-law, Zephyr (Amelia) Williams and Robert Williams, both of Chattanooga; several nieces; nephews; cousins; other relatives and many special friends.
Yvonne will lie in state on Sunday, May 24, from 12:30-5 p.m. at Taylor Funeral Home.
A family service will be on Tuesday, May 26, at 11:30 a.m. at the funeral home.
Burial will be in Chattanooga National Cemetery.
