David Collins, 74, passed away on Friday, May 15, 2020, in Chattanooga.
He was born in Chattanooga, attended Howard High School, served in the Air Force and retired from Norfolk Southern Railway.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Nancy Collins; parents, Phillip and Louise Collins; sister, Ophelia McClain and stepdaughter, Felicia Bey.
His survivors include son, David (Maria) Collins Jr. of San Diego; daughters, Monica Asberry, Yolanda (Edward) Wynn and Veronica Collins; grandchildren, Perry Thomas, Tiffany (Nate) Brooks, Breshia Asberry, Victoria, Brandon, Natalie Collins, Nathan Miller; step grandson, Ramauro Tariq Bey; 4 great grandchildren; nephews, Rickey (Dianne) Winston, Phillip McClain, and Christopher Reel.; special friend, Terry Knowles.
Public viewing will be held on Tuesday, May 26, from 3–6 p.m. at the funeral home. Private funeral services will be held. Interment: Chattanooga National Cemetery.
