The Charles H. Coolidge Heritage Center Reopens

  • Friday, May 22, 2020

The Charles H. Coolidge National Medal of Honor Heritage Center will reopen Memorial Day weekend.

"We have been granted permission to reopen by the Hamilton County Health Department after taking all appropriate measures to ensure the health and safety of our staff, volunteers and visitors," officials said.

These measures include regular professional cleanings, application of an antimicrobial coating, wellness checks and use of masks by staff and volunteers. Complimentary masks will be provided to all guests who want them.

"Because of the mandated requirement for social distancing, we will operate at less than 25 percent capacity and allow only 10 guests into the Heritage Center every 15 minutes," officials said. "Therefore, we encourage you to reserve your desired visit time using the 'Buy Tickets' section of our website.

"Since our Grand Opening, we have added additional mannequins to our exhibit gallery.  The statue of Sgt. Charles Coolidge was held up in New York due to the Covid-19 pandemic, and finally arrived this week. We invite you to visit this weekend and have your photograph taken with Charles Coolidge.

"During this Memorial Day weekend, it is important to remember those who have made the ultimate sacrifice, and the Heritage Center is the ideal place to have an experience that honors all of America’s heroes."

Sunday: 1-6 p.m.
