  • Friday, May 29, 2020

The coronavirus pandemic has triggered a spike in overdoses across the Hamilton County area. According to the Dangerous Drugs Task Force, there has been 230 overdoses from January to April 2020 - that is a 114% increase in overdoses from that time last year. Due to this rise, Hamilton County Coalition is extending its series of free, virtual opioid overdose prevention trainings through August.

The next training for Hamilton County residents is scheduled on Monday.

Trainings for Bledsoe, Bradley, Grundy, Meigs, McMinn, Polk, Rhea and Sequatchie county residents are also scheduled. To register for an upcoming session, view the schedule, or to obtain additional information, visit www.hccoalition.org or call 423 305-1449.
