Beulah Martin
Beulah Mae Martin, 92, of Chattanooga, passed away on Wednesday, June 10, 2020, in a local hospital.
She attended McReynolds High School. She was a member of Union Hill Missionary Baptist Church. Beulah was a part of the Foster Grandparent Program, was employed with Standard Coosa Thatcher and the Chambliss Children Home.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John Henry Martin, Sr; daughter, Emma “Nett” Martin; and parents, William and Mable McCain, Sr.
Survivors include her sons, John Henry Martin, Jr, Anthony (Bernetta) Martin, both of Chattanooga, Thaddeus Martin of Oklahoma City, OK, Darrell (Tiffany) Martin, Kenneth (Lois) Martin, Sr., Maurice (Anita) Martin, and Aaron Martin, all of Chattanooga; daughters, Patricia (Matthew) Stewart, Sheila (Charles, Sr.) Patterson, Deborah “Sue” Martin, Carmelia “Renee” (Freddy) Martin, all of Chattanooga, Tomasina Crumsey of Atlanta, GA, and Senta (Vincent) Dixon of Chattanooga; 48 grandchildren; 100 great-grandchildren; 12 great-great-grandchildren; cousins, Sally McMillian and Nancy Starkey; special friend, Janie McDuffie; adopted daughter, Mary Jo Gilbert; and a host of other relatives and friends.
She will lie in state on Friday, June 19, from 12:30-5 p.m. at Taylor Funeral Home.
A family service will be on Saturday, June 20, at noon in the chapel with Pastor Samuel R. Jackson as the eulogist. Burial will be in Lakewood Memory Gardens, East.
