William “David” Ford, 78, of Ringgold, Georgia, passed away on Wednesday, July 1, 2020, at his home.

 

David served Walker County as a detective for 20 years. He was active in the Harrison Masonic

Lodge #114 F&AM for 15 years.

 

David’s most important role was as Dad and Poppy to his family. He spent his life making sure his family knew how much he loved them and always supported their hopes and dreams.

 

David was preceded in death by his parents, J.T. and Ruby (Hamic) Ford; and his nephew,

Tommy Ford.

 

Survivors include brother, Ronnie Ford; children, Michael (Cindy) Ford, and Susan (Gordon)

Dickson; grandchildren, Michelle (Cindi) Dickson, Ashleigh (Brooke) Dickson, James (Amanda)

Dickson, Bailey (Jeffery) Westfelt, Will Ford; and great-grandson, Brayden Michael Westfelt.

 

The family will receive friends Sunday, July 5, 2020, from 2-4 pm at Heritage Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 7454 East Brainerd Road.

 

Graveside services will be held on Monday, July 6, at 11 a.m. Forest Hills Cemetery, 4016

Tennessee Avenue, Chattanooga, Tn. 37409; where his Masonic Lodge will perform masonic rites.
