The Lantern at Morning Pointe Alzheimer’s Center of Excellence, Spring Hill celebrated its grand opening with a landmark virtual dedication program and ribbon cutting. The ceremony was live-streamed in partnership with the Spring Hill Chamber of Commerce, and included remarks from The Lantern Executive Director Kristin Rosario; resident family member, Jane Roberts; Rebecca Melton, director of the Spring Hill Chamber of Commerce; and representatives from Morning Pointe Senior Living.
The Lantern at Morning Pointe Alzheimer’s Center of Excellence in Spring Hill is located at 1003 McCutcheon Creek Lane. The 33,000-square-foot memory care community is the second phase of a state-of-the-art Morning Pointe senior living campus, which provides specialized care to 120 senior residents in total. Phase One includes a freestanding assisted living community of more than 70 apartments, while Phase Two features The Lantern memory care community, which consists of 44 apartments created specifically to meet the needs of residents with Alzheimer’s disease and other memory disorders.
Officials said, "The Lantern maintains a strong focus on clinical care with innovative therapies such as Teepa Snow’s Positive Approach to Care and Meaningful Day purposeful programming to ensure a high quality of life for residents. Physical and occupational therapies, life enrichment and wellness programming and inter-generational activities round out the wide array of healthcare services offered, and all residents enjoy premier amenities and fine dining with local, farm-fresh ingredients."
The Lantern in Spring Hill is one of the newest of 35 Morning Pointe assisted living, personal care, and memory care communities operating in five states across the Southeast. Morning Pointe is developed, owned and managed by Independent Healthcare Properties, LLC.
