Chris Wendell McCormick, 59, of Trenton, passed away August 5, 2020. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather, who never met a stranger and loved to joke around with everyone. Chris was passionate about sports and politics, and was retired from TVA. He was a member of Straightway Baptist Church. He will be dearly missed.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Barbara Jean Massey McCormick; brother, Connie Wayne McCormick; and nephew, Stephen McCormick.

Survivors include his loving wife of 27 years, Penny McCormick; daughters, Jennifer McCormick and Miranda (Roy) Adair; son, Michael McCormick; four grandchildren, Tori and Taylor Reed and Kayce and Blake Adair; father, Wendell McCormick; nieces, Kristen and Stephanie; and a host of friends.

Funeral services will be held at noon Saturday, Aug. 8 at the Trenton Chapel of Moore Funeral Home, with Brother Gary Bone and Brother Sam Whited officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Lawn Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends Friday, Aug. 7 from 2-8 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m.-noon. Please continue to follow the CDC guidelines for social distancing. Masks are strongly encouraged.
