Everett, Philip Ray "Gocky" (Ringgold)

Philip Ray “Gocky” Everett, 81, passed away in his sleep on Saturday, January 23, 2021. Gocky loved the Lord and his family. He was a United States Army veteran, enjoyed woodworking, was an expert modifier and an avid rabbit hunter who loved his hunting dogs.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Judy Everett; daughter, Janet Vandergriff; grandson, Stephen Vandergriff; parents, Thomas and Hazel Everett; and sister, Phyllis Wilbanks.

Left to cherish his memories are Tom Everett and Jennifer Welchel; and grandchildren, Taylor Everett, Maggie and Daniel Chilton

The family will receive friends at Moore Funeral Home on Wednesday, Jan. 27 from noon-2 p.m. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, with Brother Eddie Cantrell officiating. A graveside service will follow around 3:15 p.m. at Hamilton Memorial Gardens in Hixson.
