Steven Moore will be taking over as the incoming Chapter Chair for SCORE Chattanooga as of Oct. 18.
Mr. Moore joined SCORE as a volunteer mentor in April 2021. He is a retired public-school administrator, having worked as an executive director of finance and administration, assistant superintendent, and superintendent at a number of public schools in Massachusetts. Mr. Moore has a bachelor’s degree in community service management and an MBA in strategic planning. Additionally, he has over 20 years of experience working in the food service industry, including hotels, restaurants and corporate dining, as well as in public school lunch programs.
Mr. Moore said his reason for joining SCORE is tied to his belief that the best thing you can do with your life is to help make someone else’s life better. “As a public-school administrator, I learned that leading organizations that mirror my beliefs is even more rewarding, as it gives me the opportunity to help both mentors and clients enrich their lives,” he said.
Mr. Moore is taking over from outgoing Chapter Chair Pat Wente, who said, “I know each of you will welcome Steven to the small business entrepreneurial community as he gets to know each of you and your organizations.” Ms. Wente will be remaining with SCORE as a volunteer small business mentor.
