Hixson Community Christmas Tree Lighting Is Dec. 4

The Friends of Hixson and the Hixson Kiwanis invite the public to come out and help kick-off the holiday season at the annual Hixson Community Christmas Tree Lighting event on Dec. 4 at Clear Creek Church of Christ, 5612 Hixson Pike.

The doors will open at 6 p.m., with refreshments in the church’s Community Café with the Music Program scheduled from 6:30-7:30 p.m., featuring Hixson High School’s band, choir and strings orchestra.

Hamilton County Assessor of Property Marty Haynes will serve as emcee for the event, and Hamilton County Mayor Jim Coppinger will join Santa Clause to officially light the community Christmas tree at 7:30 p.m.

The annual event is sponsored by The Friends of Hixson and the Hixson Kiwanis.
