Charles Hall
Charles K. Hall, Jr., 89, of Ooltewah, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Tuesday, November 2, 2021, from complications from Parkinson’s disease.
Charlie was born in Greencastle, IN, on January 7, 1932, and graduated from DePauw University in Greencastle where he was a member of the Phi Gamma Delta fraternity.
After serving in the U.S. Army in Korea, he began a 40-year career in retail real estate, having worked for Shell Oil Co., and Kroger Supermarkets before retiring as a real estate executive in the Atlanta Regional Office of the J.C. Penney Company. For several years after retiring, he served as a consultant to the shopping center industry. He was a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers.
Charlie was an avid tennis player and also enjoyed boating, snow skiing, and biking in the Rockies. He was a member of Christ United Methodist Church in Chattanooga.
Charlie is survived by his wife of 62 years, Jean Williamson Hall; son, Thomas (Susan) Hall, Ringgold; daughter, Leanne Hall, Collegedale; grandson, Aidan (Stephanie) Hall, Decatur, Ga.; granddaughter, Alaina Hall, Athens, Greece; and great-granddaughter, Mirella Jean Hall, Decatur, Ga.
A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 10, at Chattanooga National Cemetery with military honors. Pastor David Hall will officiate
