Chattanooga Area Food Bank to Distribute USDA TEFAP Commodities Dec. 18

  • Wednesday, December 1, 2021

The Chattanooga Area Food Bank will distribute USDA commodities to eligible Tennesseans who need food assistance on Saturday, Dec. 18. The quarterly drive-through-style food distribution will take place at the Chattanooga Area Food Bank.   There is a limited supply.

The sign-up procedure has changed.  The Chattanooga Area Food Bank is requiring individuals to pre-register by Friday, Dec. 10.

While the procedure is different, the benefits remain the same. The new format is intended to make it easier for families and individuals to access nutritious food.  No documentation is required. However, recipients must provide their name, address, monthly income and the number of people in their household per USDA regulations in advance.

Those wishing to pick up commodities on behalf of someone else must present an authorization form which can be obtained at the Food Bank at 2009 Curtain Pole Road, Chattanooga, TN 37406.

For more information, please contact 423-622-FOOD (3663).
