Thomas Paul Ruh, dedicated son and servant of God, passed away at 46, on Monday, March 8, 2021.

Since returning to Chattanooga, Thomas discovered Our Lady of Perpetual Help and had served as an active member since 2011.

Thomas loved trains, history, travel, and his cats. He could recount the history of any period in the most interesting and entertaining way. He had a vast knowledge of trains and their history. Periodically he took adventures. He traveled far and wide. One of his favorite places was Quebec. While there he was able to practice his French, of which he was fluent. Thomas was also a most dedicated pet owner, even offering a safe place to many a stray.

Thomas is survived by his mother Elizabeth C. Ruh, and cousins, Kent Sandidge IV,  Beth R. Sandidge, Mark C. Sandidge, and Scott O. Sandidge. He was preceded in death by his father Albert Ruh.

The family has entrusted Chattanooga Funeral Home with the arrangements. A Funeral Mass is scheduled for Wednesday, March 24, at 11 a.m. at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church on South Moore Road.  Father Zack Griffiths will officiate the ceremony.
