For the second time in three years Lee University has been selected by the NCAA Division II Championships Committee to host the 2021 NCAA Division II Women's South Regional. The competition will take place Monday-Wednesday, May 3-5, 2021, and will once again take place at the beautiful Cleveland Country Club.

The nation's top women's golf programs will descend on the City of Spirit for 54 holes of championship level golf.

Leading the way is No. 2 ranked and Sunshine State Champion, Lynn University followed by South Atlantic Champion and No. 3 Limestone. No. 6 Tampa, No. 8 Florida Southern, No. 9 Anderson, No. 10 Barry, No. 14 Peach Belt Champion, Flagler, Gulf South Champion West Georgia (RV) and Conference Carolinas Champion Belmont Abbey round out the loaded field.

"It's truly a privilege to have the opportunity to host the NCAA Women's South Regional.  The South Region is filled with some many great teams and coaches, and is annually the strongest region in the country," said Lee Director of Golf, John Maupin. "We are excited to once again welcome them to Cleveland Country Club.  We love getting to showcase our home course, and put one a top notch event.  I'm very thankful for the help and support that we receive from the Cleveland Country Club staff and the Lee community in order to make this possible.  I know it will be a great experience for all of the participants."

The NCAA Division II women's golf regional competition will be conducted May 3-5. Each site will consist of both team and individual competition conducted concurrently with 9 teams and 4 individuals from non-qualifying teams at each site. All participants will compete through the 54 holes of competition. The top three teams along with the top three individuals not with a team from each super regional will advance to the championships.

"Our athletic department is committed to providing the best experience possible for the players and coaches in this year's South Region," said Tournament Director and Lee women's basketball coach, Marty Rowe. "The Cleveland Country Club provides a great test for some of the best teams and players in the country.
