Local Legal Leaders Unite To Make A Difference At Habitat for Humanity of Cleveland's Law Build Day

  • Thursday, June 10, 2021
Habitat for Humanity of Cleveland’s first ever Law Build Day is an exclusive event with 10 legal leaders in the Cleveland community coming together to sponsor and help build a home. On Saturday, June 19, they will step “out of the courtroom” and
onto the construction site to experience camaraderie and network, as they help build a home.

This team will be continuing work started by other leaders in the community on Leaders Build
Day.

"Every nail they hammer is a labor of love, building a strong and solid foundation of hope
for this family and for future generations," officials said.

The legal leaders will work as a team from 8 a.m.-noon, led by Habitat Construction Manager
Julio Cerpa and volunteers.
All participants will then enjoy a lunch sponsored by Chick-fil-A on
the build site at noon, with a short program to hear from future homeowner, Kerea Westfield.

The event will take place in the Victory Cove subdivision at 1223 Franitza Way SW in Cleveland.

The legal leaders sponsoring and participating in this event include:
Andrew Morgan (Law Offices of Andrew B. Morgan), Athena Pendergrass (Solomon Family
Solutions), Chancellor Jerri Bryant, David Calfee (William J. Brown & Associates, PLLC), Jerry
Hoffer (Jerry Hoffer Attorney at Law, P.C.), Judge Andrew Freiberg, Michael Jenne (The Jenne
Law Firm), Wencke West (Wencke West Attorney at Law, PLLC), Jim Logan, Jr. (LoganThompson, P.C.) and Stephen Hatchett (Worthington & Weiss, P.C.).
