Community leaders, development partners, and local stakeholders gathered to break ground on Broadview, a $22 million, 43-unit luxury condominium development set to anchor the Foundries District. Rising four stories at the corner of 26th and Cowart streets, Broadview is designed to bring urban living to one of Chattanooga’s most promising new neighborhoods, said officials.
The 65,000-square-foot project is being developed by FTC Development, in partnership with Aslan, Berry Construction, and Caughman + Caughman Architects. Construction is expected to begin this summer, with completion slated for summer 2026.
“This is the beginning of a new district, and Broadview will set the tone,” said Matt McGauley, CEO of FTC Development and managing partner of Aslan. “Broadview is a cornerstone for a new kind of district, walkable, connected, and rooted in community.”
Broadview will feature 43 residential condominiums, including 25 one-bedroom units (including seven mezzanine units with street-level entries), 12 two-bedroom units, and six three-bedroom units, with prices starting in the $400s and up. A 3,000-square-foot commercial suite, located at the corner of 26th Street and Cowart Street, is available for a future restaurant or retail concept, helping activate the street and serve both residents and neighbors.
The development will offer amenities, including: rooftop patio with panoramic views of the Tennessee River, Lookout Mountain, the downtown skyline, and the forthcoming Lookouts stadium; rooftop kitchen, fire pit, TVs, sunning area, and lounge space; fitness center; designated dog run and indoor pet wash station; electric car charging stations; and ample onsite parking, with covered and reserved spaces for penthouse units.
