Recent McCallie School graduates Austin Gentle ’21 and Jack Gentle ’21 were selected as First-Team Academic All-Americans this week by the National High School Coaches Association.

Austin and Jack, twin brothers, have each signed National Letters of Intent to attend Harvard University this coming fall and to play football for the Crimson.

The Gentles were All-State offensive linemen for the Blue Tornado and helped McCallie football win back-to-back TSSAA Division II-AAA state championships in 2019 and 2020.

The NHSCA named a First Team, a Second Team, and an Honorable Mention list of outstanding student-athletes comprised of sports supported by the organization. Austin and Jack were two of only four student-athletes from the State of Tennessee recognized as First-Team honorees.
