Roy Andrew Copeland
Roy Andrew Copeland, age 62, of LaFayette, Georgia, passed away Tuesday, July 13, 2021.
He was a member of Peavine Baptist Church. Roy was actively involved with local and international missions for 30 years, where he devoted his hands and heart as a voluntary missionary on over 60 trips. He was a fun-loving and devoted husband, father, granddaddy, and uncle. He was loved by everyone who knew him. He was the owner and operator of Copeland Contracting, Inc.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Kelly Ruth Copeland; and parents, Billy A. Copeland and Norvelle T. Copeland.
He is survived by his loving wife of 36 years, Phyllis Blanton Copeland; daughters, Meredith Copeland and Anna (Corey) Angland; son, Andrew Copeland; grandchildren, Weston, Emerson, and William Angland; sister, Alice (Ken) Romano; brothers, Walter (Louanne) Copeland and Tommy (Angela) Copeland; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be held 1 p.m. Saturday, July 17, at Peavine Baptist Church with Pastors Zack Zbinden and Jeremy Elam officiating.
Interment will be at LaFayette Memory Gardens. Pallbearers are Mike West, Danny Ward, Doug Combs, Ricky Alder, Andrew Copeland, and Corey Angland.
Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Friday, July 16, from 5-8 p.m. and on Saturday, July 17, at the church from 11 a.m. until hour of service.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a mission of your choice.
