Anita Vialpando, 86, a resident of Cleveland, Tennessee, passed away Thursday, July 29, 2021 at her home.
She was the daughter of the late Frederico and Carmelita Gonzales and was preceded in death, just this week, by her husband Francisco “Frank” Vialpando. She was also preceded in death by her son-in-law, Gary Crandell; her granddaughter, Christina Vialpando; and her daughter-in-law, Sandra Vialpando.
Mrs. Vialpando was a wonderful cook specializing in Mexican cuisine. Her and her husband loved to cook and entertain family and friends at their home. While living in Denver they also would often go downtown Denver and feed the needy and homeless. She loved to crochet but her greatest joy, one that would brighten her day, was spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She loved her husband deeply, along with her family whom she would pray for daily. She was a life-long member of the Church of God.
She is survived by her children, Frank Vialpando Jr. (Shirley), Calvin Vialpando, Amy Crandell, and Kathy Dumont (Craig); 13 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren; sister, Ofelia Martinez; along with several nieces and nephews.
A Remembrance of Life Memorial Service will be held Tuesday, Aug. 3, at 2 p.m. at Westmore Church of God with Pastor Kelvin Page and Rev. Craig Dumont officiating.
