The Baylor girls soccer team traveled to Knoxville Catholic for a region soccer match on Thursday night. The Red Raiders scored four goals in the first half to earn a 4-2 win.
Elizabeth Stophel, Skylar Schwarts and Melissa Oliveira all scored first half goals with assists by Zoe Mize. Mize closed out the half, converting on a penalty kick.
"We had a great start to the game and really wanted to be aggressive in the first part of the game," Baylor head coach Curtis Blair said. "We turned off for about 6 minutes in the game and gave them some life. But anytime you can win on the road in our region is great."
Baylor improves to 12-1-2 overall and 2-0 in the region.
GPS 3 CCS 1 - GPS scored three first half goals to take a 3-1 win at CCS in another Division II-AA region match.
