CHA ART SPACE, a modular exhibit space located in the ticketing area of the Chattanooga Airport, features a new juried show entitled “CHROMA.” Local artist Carrie Pendergrass curated the installation, which features the work of 18 different local and regional artists and marks the fourth installment since the project debuted last July.
“Many people travel toward the end of the year.
I wanted this exhibit to be a dynamic and enticing visual experience that can be a unique and fun respite from the stress that often accompanies travel.” said Ms. Pendergrass. “The new exhibit centers around the various interesting and strategic ways that artists use and think about color.”
“CHROMA” features a variety of interpretations of the theme. With imagery ranging from urban scenes to animals to abstraction, there is something for everyone.
All the pieces are for sale, and the proceeds will benefit both the artists and the continued operation of CHA ART SPACE to offer free public art exhibits in the future.
The local and regional artists included in “CHROMA” are: Mary Ahern, Jonathan Bidwell, Vera Susan Chamlee, Sheila Chesanow, Sue Fox, Lupina Haney, Clay Hardwick, Lisa Houser, Faye Ives, Ruth Pearl, Carrie Pendergrass, Alex Rifwald, Connie Roberts, Leah True Salerno, Rick Sanders, Robert Schoolfield, Brent Templeton and Rylan Thompson.
The exhibit is available to view now through early January 2023. For more information, visit www.sewntothesea.com/cha-art-space and follow @cha_art_space on Instagram.
