The United Championship Racing Alliance presented by Red Line Synthetic Oil was at I-75 Raceway in Sweetwater for Round #3 of the $15,000 Championship Season Saturday night. Hayden Cardwell of Knoxville picked up the $2,500 "Spring-Loaded" victory dethroning Cory Hedgecock of Loudon, who'se won all four of the previous annual events. The Rusty Webb Racing CVR Race Cars team sponsored by "R&W Properties, Crate Engine Technologies, Harris Speedshop,

Dazzling Detail & Bling, Morgan- McClure Chevrolet, Brucebuilt Performance, Tennessee Shine Co., Bakers Wrecker Service, Fox Shocks" team has been on a roll winning multiple times at I-75 Raceway, this season alone.
Gresham Racing Parts: Fast Time award went to runner up Ethan Hunter of Harrison with former UCRA champion Jesse Lowe of Crossville rounding out the podium finishers. Hedgecock was 16th overall in the final rundown. In the Red Clay 602/Sportsman feature it was Chattanooga's Booger Brooks winning $3,000 over 37 other raceteams. Brooks dominates the 602's winning nearly every race this season at track all around.

In nearby Maryville, the Southern All-Stars were at Smoky Mountain Speedway for a $5,000 twin bill of Super Late Models and Limited Late Models. Cameron and Cameron were victorious... Cameron Marlar of Winfield, TN won his career first SAS race, while Cameron Weaver of Crossville won his first Bandit LLM feature. In Dayton/Spring City at Mountain View Raceway Barry Goodman won again in Late Model competition. Up north of Nashville at Clarksville Speedway, Winchester's Jadon Frame picked up the $10,053 weekend finale for Ray Cook's Spring Nationals series. Northern SLM superstar Brian "Squirrel" Shirley of Illinois was second with points leader Carson Ferguson of North Carolina rounding out the podium finishers.

In Florida Jonathan Davenport of Blairsville ended his five month drought with a $50,000 victory near Ocala. Virginian Kyle Strickler was second followed by Georgians Brandon Overton, Ashton Winger and Shane Clanton. In Alabama Jake Rainey of Acworth, GA won the $3,000 Crate Late Model feature at Talladega Short Track across from the Super Speedway. Maryville's Jason Welshan was sixth and former NASCAR Cup champion Chase Elliott of Dawsonville was tenth overall. Sam Seawright of Fort Payne swept the SLM division both nights. Speaking of Fort Payne "Motor Speedway" the Hurricane Kasey Hall (# 38) kicked off the season opener with a victory in Crate Late Models, while Derek Franks(# 4F) of Tunnel Hill, GA won the Sportsman feature.

And finally... Brandan Tulachka and the Packer Fastener/Get-Er-Done MK Motorsports Team Monster Truck were crowned the 2022 Homecoming Champion winning the Racing and Freestyle portions at Boyd's Speedway this weekend. The final stretch earned him enough points to hold off Tritan Robbins in Krazy Train and Buddy Tompkins in Razin' Kane. Friday and Saturday night saw some of the largest crowds ever at the Chattanooga/Ringgold state lined dirt track.

Looking ahead to this Fall, the track hosts for the first time ever the World of Outlaw Late Models in September. The over $100,000 weekend is expected to draw the world's best Dirt SLM racers over the two-night show.
