Gerald “Jerry” White, age 90 of Springboro, OH, and formerly of Dayton, passed away on Monday, May 16, 2022, at the Enclave of Springboro.
He was born on June 26, 1931, in Herald, VA, the son of the late Carl and Flossie (Carico) White. He was also preceded in death by his first wife, Nyella (Stallard) White; his second wife, Alma Ruth (Giles) Shipley White; two brothers Ferrill (Betty) White and Bob White; and two sisters, Opal (Voda) Stallard and Oleta (Theo) Yates.
Jerry served his country in the US Marine Corps during the Korean War, lived in Dayton since 1987, was a retired supervisor at Price Brothers in Bakewell, and was a member of Dayton Foursquare Gospel Church.
He is survived by his two daughters, Cathy (Richard) Stephenson of Vermillion, OH, and Janet (Charles) Davis of Springboro, OH; five grandchildren; two step-daughters, Sue (Jim) Graves and Brenda (Dave) Hester, all of Dayton; a step-son, Larry Shipley of Dayton; his brother, James (Shirley) White of Bristol, VA; and his sister, Patricia (James) Taylor of Vonore.
Graveside funeral services with Marine military honors for Jerry will be held at Rhea Memory Gardens on Saturday, May 21, at 1 p.m. with Rev. Bart Slikker officiating. He will be laid to rest next to his first wife Nyella.
