James Stanley Levi
James Stanley Levi, 79, of Chattanooga, peacefully passed away at home, surrounded by his three children on Saturday, July 16, 2022.
Jimmy was born in Chattanooga on Feb. 5, 1943, to the late Quince and Vieva Levi.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mamie Allison and his brother, Donald Levi. He was a graduate of Chattanooga High School where he met his wife of 55 years, Mamie. Jimmy worked in sales for his entire career and most recently for Mitchell Industrial Tire. There was nothing he could not sell from trucks to chemicals to tires. Outside of work, Jimmy enjoyed spending time with friends, hosting pool parties, and tending to the neighborhood garden. He was a member of The Church of the Good Shepherd on Lookout Mountain.
Jimmy is survived by his three children; Allison Wright (Pat) of Lookout Mountain, Tn.; Joe Levi (Ashley) of Nashville, Tn.; and Mary Kiger (John) of Charleston, SC. Among his greatest joys were his seven grandchildren: Jimmy and Katherine Wright: Cummings, Mamie, and Annabel Levi: Mary Caroline and Worth Kiger; and one great granddaughter; Kinsley Wright.
It was always about laughs and stories with Jimmy!
The family will receive visitors from 3-4 p.m. at the Church of the Good Shepherd on Wednesday, Aug. 3, followed by a service at 4 p.m. at the Church of the Good Shepherd’s Memorial Garden.
