The Signal Mountain Fire Department will be hosting an Open House to kick off Fire Prevention Week on Saturday, Oct. 8 from 2-4 p.m. at SMFD Station, 5240 Shackleford Ridge Road.
Fire trucks will be on display, tours of the facility will be held, kids can run a firefighter obstacle course, try out multiple fire education props and Sparky the Fire Dog will be visiting. There will be photo opportunities and give-away items for the kids.
"We hope to see everyone there," organizers said.
