A longtime tenant at the Centre South Riverport is planning yet another expansion.
Steve Hiatt of the Chamber of Commerce noted that Lock Joint Tube (LJT) had taken over the shuttered Huntco Steel Co. property in 2002.
He said, "They have expanded three or four times since then. They have gone from 110,000 square feet to 325,000 square feet."
For the latest expansion, the firm is buying 2.66 acres from the county.
The addition is expected to create 15-20 new jobs.
