Ann Keasler, 84, passed away on October 20, 2023, while residing at Martin Boyd Christian Center.

"Nana" loved being a wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She recently shared that she "loved her family more than life itself". Nana loved entertaining and spending time with those that had become her friends over the years. She especially loved the time with her family and prioritized being at any and all functions, events and games that she could attend.

She was born in Memphis, TN to the late Johnnie and Pauline Brewer. She graduated from Germantown High School and Memphis State University with a B.S. degree in Elementary Education and Special Education and taught in both Cookeville, TN and Chattanooga, TN. She most recently attended White Oak and Mountain Creek Church of Christ.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Frederick William Keasler, two brothers and two sisters.

She is survived by sons Jeff (Sheila) Keasler, Chris (Cindy) Keasler and daughter Kara (Justin) Fortune; grandchildren Taylor (Matthew) Reed, Ross (Sarah) Keasler, Allie (Joseph) Teal, Caroline Fortune and Addie Fortune; great-grandchildren Emerson (Emmie) Teal, Brooks Keasler, Elizabeth (Ellie) Teal, and Crosby Reed.

The family will receive friends from 1-3 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 29, 2023 at White Oak Church of Christ, 2229 Lyndon Avenue, Chattanooga, TN 37415 followed by a celebration of her life at the church.

She donated her body for scientific and medical research to the University of Tennessee Anthropology Department. For a personal remembrance of Nana, the family ask that you plant a flower or feed a bird, as she loved to nurture them both. Memorial contributions can be made to: Martin Boyd Christian Home, 6845 Standifer Gap Road, Chattanooga, TN 37421, Good News Today, P.O. Box 206, Dunlap, TN 37327 or Boyd-Buchanan School, 4650 Buccaneer Trail, Chattanooga, TN 37411.
